Experiencing my mom battle cancer and passing all while attending college has truly opened my eyes. It has shown me just how hard and distracting personal battles can be during school and class. Along with this, it showed me that college is not easy to pay for especially with all of the medical expenses for my mom. Considering I am one in a million that has struggled with this, I have decided to make a scholarship available for Ouachita Parish and Monroe City Seniors.
